What to wear?

Take into consideration the scenery you are going be in. It is best to stand out from your surroundings, for example in a green forest try and stay away from an all green outfit

The colour of your horse is another important factor. I suggest that people with light coloured horses wear darker colours and people with dark horses wear lighter colours.

Note these are all suggestions! It will not make your pictures any less beautiful if you don’t do these things.

Bring two pairs of shoes

During your shoot you will walking around and probably in tall grass or dirt. It is key to bring your “nice” dress shoes for the shots with your feet in them and a comfy pair for the rest.

Wear shorts or tights

If you are wearing a skirt or dress wear something underneath. I’m general it’s a good idea but is especially important if you want to do mounted shots with your horse.

Sunscreen and bug spray

Depending on your shoot location you will most likely be outside and in nature so come prepared.

Makeup

If you are wearing makeup it’s always I good idea to bring a little makeup bag with all the essentials just in case you need a quick touch up during your shoot.

Preparing Your Pony

pretend like you are getting ready for a horse show. The cleaner the horse the better, bathing the day before is ideal. The day of, shine spray will be your best friend. A shiny coat will reflect the light and allow for some beautiful pictures of your pony. Some nice additions to complete the look is hoof polish or a fresh clip job.

be creative! Adding some braids or flowers in the mane and tail can be add a special touch
